Closing conference in Szeged
Over the past two years, the IDEC PBL project has brought together universities and NGOs from Hungary, France, and Spain to co-create an exciting online serious game, which immerses students in real-world scenarios of international development cooperation. On the closing event, educators, developers, and field practitioners shared insights from pilot programs across Europe, behind-the-scenes stories from game design, and fresh approaches to active learning. Highlights included a roundtable on engaging youth in global issues, technical deep-dives into simulation creation, and international perspectives—from France to Ireland.
Closing Meeting in Szeged
The closing meeting of the project took place on 7-8 May 2025. The partners overviewed the project results: the handbook, the guidebook, the literature review, the serious game. All these can be found on the project website in the Knowledge Base menu. The partners also discussed what feedback on the project output they received from the workshops and the pilots in the courses and how they can still integrate them. The project officially closes on 31 May 2025.
